Wildlife and Native Animals of Adelaide and South Australia

There are many animals native to Australia as well as a few spiders, snakes and bugs! The majority are not life threatening if you do get bitten but it is a good idea to know a bit about the spiders etc that you may come across and what they are capable of.

The websites listed below will provide a guide to identifying various spiders, bugs, birds and wildlife in Adelaide and the surrounding areas. Get to know what to avoid or what to go and see!

For many being able to feed Kangaroos hopping around fields or to cuddle a Koala is one of the first things they want to do on arrival to Australia. There are plenty of places around Adelaide and South Australia where you can get up close and personal with a wide range of animals and learn about conservation. We have listed a few of the places below for you to visit.
